The core business activity of EC Mielec includes production and distribution of heat (hot water for processing, usage and central heating) and generation of electricity.

EC Mielec has two facilities:
- Elektrociepłownia "EC" - the combined heat and power plant equipped with three steam boilers, OR-64 type, and three TG-sets
- Ciepłownia "C-II" - the heating plant equipped with two water boilers, WR-25 type
The equipment of the two facilities is interconnected by thermal and electric main, enabling their full cooperation.
